The money's in the list. You've heard it a 1,000 times before. The only problem is that your list doesn't seem to have any...or it seems that way because they aren't buying from you.
Or perhaps you are earning a little bit, but you want to earn more. In fact, you'd love to be like those guru's who make tens of thousands of dollars with each email they send out to their massive lists.
So what are you doing wrong? The most common mistake I see is choosing a topic that you think will make you money instead of choosing one that you are passionate about.
Just because you write emails to your subscriber's doesn't mean that they are automatically going to buy from you.

1. Choose a topic that you are passionate and knowledgeable about. Then look for ways to monetize that topic, either through promoting affiliate programs or creating your own product. When you write about what you love, your passion comes through in your writing.
2.Get your subscribers to trust you and your products first. Just launching your opt-in list does not make you an expert in the eye's of your subscribers. Become an authority by writing many articles on your topic first, and then in the resource box asking them to join your opt-in list.
3. Provide your list members with useful, relevant content, not simply one sales pitch after another. When people like and trust you they are more likely to buy from you.
Building a profitable opt-in list doesn't just happen overnight. It takes time and effort. But the one overriding principle too keep in mind is that you need to keep the needs of your list members uppermost in your mind. Think about how you can help them and provide valuable advice and how you can make their lives better, pertaining to the topics you are writing about.
